Oct 24, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Moelven earned NOK 80 million ($9.5 million) from operations in 3Q and improved the result by NOK 62 million ($7.4 million) compared to the same period the previous year, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

In terms of results, this is Moelven's best 3Q since 2010. The Group delivered a gross operating margin of 6.5%, which is 2.3 percentage points better than for the same period last year. Revenue in 3Q increased by 11.6% to NOK 2,263 million ($270 million).

“The good result is closely linked to the Group increasing its operating revenues by NOK 235 million ($28 million) compared to the same quarter last year. All divisions in Moelven have contributed to the improved result. The Wood and Building Systems divisions have delivered positive operating revenues of NOK 46 million ($5.5 million) and NOK 42 million ($5 million), respectively,” says CEO Morten Kristiansen of Moelven Industrier ASA.

Moelven is a Scandinavian industrial group that produces building materials and systems for the construction industry.
