Jul 25, 2005. /Lesprom Network/ Petrozavodskmash (Karelia Republic, Russia) will supply equipment for Austrian FMW. A working group from PET Paper Equipment Trading GmbH and FMW (Austria) paid a visit to Petrozavodskmash to learn more about the production capacities of the enterprise on July, 20 2005. FMW intends to participate in a number of projects in Russia: 1) Solikamskbumprom – pulpwood production modernization 2) Segezhsky pulp and paper enterprise – timber production modernization 3) Syktyvkar – construction of a pulp mill with the capacity of 1 million tons of pulp/yr 4) Kotlassky pulp and paper enterprise – timber production modernization In accordance with the project, FMW will act as a general project developer and will prepare all technological and project documentation. Besides, the parties discussed the construction of a new newsprint mill in Shklov (Byelorussia). Petrozavodskmash is currently carrying out project preparation works that will be finished in June 2007. At the end of the meeting the parties agreed to carry on with the cooperation in the future.
