In May 2021, an average prices for panel products in Russia increased by 43.7%, according to the monthly price report "Wood-based panels prices" issued by Lesprom Network's Research Department.
The average price of chipboard (grade 1, E1) increased by 35.5% in May, film faced chipboard - by 12.5%. Average prices for urea-formaldehyde plywood increased by 34.3%, for film faced plywood - by 72.4%, while the price of fiberboard increased by 36.2%. MDF prices increased by 33.8%, OSB-3 prices - by 67%.
Film faced plywood of 1220*2440*18 format increased by 78.7%, this is the highest rise in price. The smallest increase was in prices for film faced chipboard (3500*1750*16) – by 5.1%.
It is expected further growth in prices for chipboard, laminated chipboard, OSB, fiberboard, urea-formaldehyde plywood, MDF, phenolic formaldehyde plywood and Chinese film faced plywood at the end of June.
Monthly price reports are issued by Lesprom Network's Research Department. The reports contain information on the current market prices for wood panels, their dynamics and market projections. The reports are based on expert polls and monitoring of the existing prices of the manufacturers and traders.
