Russian government to consider the decrease of equipment import rates

Russian interdepartamental commission on foreign trade protectionism and customs tariff regulation under the Ministry of economic development and trade adopted a decision to decline equipment import duties. According to the ministerial public-affairs, the customs duty on certain high-efficiency equipment for pulp and paper and hardboard production will be declined from 5% to 0%. Hardwood pulp customs export duty was also decreased from 10% to 5%. Besides the ministry suggested declining the import customs duties on certain species of long-fibered pulp. The following proposals will be filed to the government soon, the ministerial public-affairs said.
