SCA invests SEK 65 million ($9.4 million) in Bollsta sawmill

The investments comprise a plant for impregnation of wood products, two chamber kilns and an upgrade of the grading mill with increased capacity and camera sorting, the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
“These are important investments that among other things will improve our capacity to manage increasing deliveries to the builders’ merchant sector in Scandinavia and United Kingdom”, says Katarina Levin, sawmill manager at Bollstabruk.
The two chamber kilns will be up and running in mid October, while the investments in the impregnation plant and the grading mill will be carried out later this autumn and winter.
SCA’s sawmill in Bollstabruk has a production capacity of 450 000 cubic metres of solid wood products of nordic pine and a workforce of 140 employees and contractors.
