Aug 29, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Finnish forest products group Stora Enso said in a statement Friday it would buy the remaining 49% of Lamcon, an Austrian laminated beam joint venture, from Japan's Meiken. Upon completion of the transaction in October, Meiken is to continue as the Japanese agent of Stora Enso laminated beams, but the Lamco trade mark is to be no more. The value of the deal was not announced. The 100,000 cubic metres of annual production of the Sollenau laminated beam facility goes to the Japanese market.
