Teemu Raitis has been appointed the Managing Director of Ponsse Plc’s Brazilian subsidiary Ponsse Latin America Ltda as of 10 May 2012, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. Mr. Raitis was previously employed by Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy holding different positions, such as Product Line Manager for mining trucks and Regional Product Line Manager for loaders and trucks in Latin America. He began working at Sandvik in 2004, and was last based in Chile. Raitis will report to Jarmo Vidgrén, Sales and Marketing Director at Ponsse Plc. He will be based in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil. Ponsse Ltda’s previous Managing Director Claudio Costa resigned as of 7 February 2012. The Financial Director of Ponsse Latin America Ltda, Mr Fabio Nogueira, will manage the operations until 10 May 2012 in addition to his own duties. Mr. Nogueira has been working as the controller for Ponsse Latin America Ltda since 2007. Ponsse is committed to continuing the strong development of its operations in Latin America. Lately Ponsse has especially invested in the development of training and maintenance services to support the needs of the growing machine base. Ponsse Latin America Ltda was established in 2005. Ponsse Plc specialises in the sales, production, maintenance and technology of cut-to-length forest machines.
