Jul 04, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. The Newark Group's Paperboard Mill Division has announced a $50 per ton price increase on all grades of recycled paperboard effective with shipments July 28, 2008. The company said continuing cost pressures in every area critical to both production and delivery of its product continue to outpace its ability to lower costs through capital investment in energy conservation, savings initiatives, productivity increases and high-cost facility closures. A pivotal part of The Newark Group, the Newark Paperboard Mills are comprised of 10 mills in the US, producing over one million tons of 100% recycled paperboard annually.
