Brazil's pulp exports increased by 4.4% in January 2016

Mar 02, 2016. /Lesprom Network/. In the first month of 2016, Brazil's exports revenues from pulp, wood panels and paper totaled $646 million, which represents a 6.1% increase year-over-year, when the total was $588 million. The industry’s balance of trade in January was $555 million, 23% higher compared to the same period in 2015, as the Brazilian Tree Industry said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Paper sales in the domestic market in January 2016 achieved 440,000 tons, 2.6% higher year-over-year. In the wood panels segment, sales in the domestic market achieved 462,000 cubic metres, 19% lower year-over-year.
