Lumber production by Canadian sawmills increased 5.9% from February to 5958.0 thousand cubic metres in March 2016. Compared with March 2015, lumber production rose 5.3%, Statistics Canada reported.
Sawmills shipped 5787.8 thousand cubic metres of lumber in March, up 3.9% from February and up 5.5% from March2015.
