NWPCA announces technology integration with CAPE Machinery

National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA) and CAPE Machinery, a leading Spanish woodworking machinery manufacturer and developer, have entered into a two-year agreement that will provide a seamless integration of the Pallet Design System™ (PDS) software with CAPE’s world-class pallet production machines.

The agreement between the NWPCA and CAPE to integrate PDS software with CAPE's MACH series Flexible Nailing Lines is part of a new development project, the CAPE 4.0.

The new integration will allow CAPE customers to make their first steps to the "Smart Factory", allowing to design the pallet from the office and to send all pallet data to the MACH Line, which will make the setup automatically, saving time and possible operator's mistakes during the setup process.

With the licensing agreement, PDS software will be integrated into CAPE’s automated production process for new, refurbished and retrofitted pallet production machines, with international customers purchasing CAPE machinery receiving a one-year license for PDS.

The National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA) is the largest organization of wood packaging professionals in the world, with more than 670 company members in 28 countries who manufacture, repair and distribute pallets and wood packaging in unit-load solutions, or who supply products and services to the industry.
