Raute's total value of the order intake in the 3Q 2016 was Euro 92 million, compared to Euro 14 million in 3Q 2015, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
3Q 2016 net sales amounted to Euro 23.4 million, compared to Euro 31.4 million in 3Q 2015. The low net sales corresponded to the low order book at the beginning of the quarter and the progressing of the deliveries planned for the period.
Operating profit was Euro 1.4 million positive and accounted for 5.8% of net sales. The result was Euro 0.9 million positive, and earnings per share (undiluted) were Euro +0.22. Profitability corresponded to the actual net sales.
Tapani Kiiski, President and CEO, said: “Our net sales and operating profit continued to develop in line with our expectations also in the 3Q, with no surprises. The net sales and operating profit corresponded with our low order book at the beginning of the quarter and the long period of low order intake preceding the reporting period.”
The order intake amounted to Euro 120 million in January-September 2016. Of new orders, 53% came from Europe, 35% from Russia, 7% from North America, 3% from Asia-Pacific and 2% from South America. The 3Q accounted for Euro 92 million of the order intake.
Net sales for the reporting period, Euro 77.1 million, fell 12% on the comparison period. The lower volume of orders than in the comparison year and the resulting decline in the order book in the early part of the year impacted the decline in net sales.
Operating profit for the reporting period was Euro 4.3 million positive and accounted for 5.5% of net sales. Profitability reflected the level of net sales. Other operating income for the reporting period includes project-business-related insurance compensation of Euro 0.9 million received in the 1Q.
The result before taxes for the reporting period was Euro 3.9 million positive. The result for the reporting period was Euro 3.1 million positive. Earnings per share (undiluted) were Euro 0.74.
