Slovenia: The value of purchased roundwood decreased by 6% in July

Slovenia's roundwood purchased from private owners in July 2017 was worth Euro 5.1 million, which is about 19% more than in the previous month, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The values of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs, and of other industrial roundwood were higher by about 26% and 5%, respectively, while the values of purchased pulpwood and of wood fuel were lower by almost 12% and 26%, respectively.

The value of roundwood purchased from private owners in July 2017 was almost 6% lower than in July 2016, mainly due to the lower quantity of purchased wood. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 4%, of pulpwood by 10% and of wood fuel by about 34%. The value of purchased other industrial roundwood was higher by 25% than a year ago.
