Slovenia: Value of purchased roundwood increased by 34% in January

Mar 24, 2016. /Lesprom Network/. Slovenia's value of roundwood purchased from private owners in January 2016 was Euro 3.9 million, which is about 7% less than in the previous month (mainly due to lower quantity of purchased roundwood), as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by 2%, and of wood fuel and pulpwood by about 25% and 24%, respectively. Lower was also the value of purchased other industrial roundwood (by about 11%).

The value of roundwood purchased from private owners in January 2016 was almost 34% higher than in January 2015, mainly due to the higher quantity of purchased wood.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by 42%, of pulpwood by 22% and of other industrial roundwood by almost 12%. The value of purchased wood fuel was about 9% lower than a year ago.
