Springer supplies saw infeed for SCA Tunadal’s sawmill in Sweden

Springer designed and supplied a suitable saw infeed for SCA Tunadal’s sawmill in Sweden. The sawing line is designed for processing of 1.4 million fm/year, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

To ensure such volumes, Springer designed two symmetrically-arranged feed decks for the log feeding station. In terms of logistics, everything works smoothly, as the system feeds the required quantity of logs into the saw. High-Lift loaders place the logs onto a section of 26 metres respectively, divided into two conveyor units each. The high cycle times of up to 50 logs/minute during feeding are achieved thanks, in particular, to Springer’s tried and tested screw technology.

Tunadal sawmill is one of SCA Timber's five sawmills and is located in Sundsvall, Sweden.
