Thimm Group's FY 2015 revenue increased by 4.7% to Euro 558 million

With revenue growth of 4.7% to Euro 558 million in the 2015 financial year, Thimm Group is continuing its expansion. Operating profit (EBITDAR) at Euro 49.8 million and at 8.9% of revenue (2014: 10.4%) is below the value of the previous year, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

At a level of Euro 31.6 million, Thimm invested heavily in the further development of the company group. The equity ratio of 43.2% (previous year: 44.7%) remains at a very good level.

Mathias Schliep, CEO Thimm Group, said: “I see our approach of divisions operating autonomously in the market as a success-factor for long-term growth.”

The main driver for the revenue growth of 4.7% in the previous year was the expansion of the multi-material and special packaging business with key customers. International activities, in particular in Central and Eastern Europe, also contributed greatly to corporate development. This has enabled the company to develop at an above-average rate in comparison to the rest of the sector (plus 1.2%).

Schliep continued "Operating profit is below our expectations. However, at 8.9% EBITDAR is still satisfactory given the backdrop of developments in the market and the sector. Our objective is to establish this margin in the double-digit range over the long term.”

For 2016, Thimm Group is planning for total revenue growth of about 7%.

Thimm Group is one of the leading system suppliers of transport and sales packaging made from corrugated cardboard, high-quality sales displays, packaging systems with multiple materials and packaging-related services in the German and European market.
