Towards the end of the post-war period, Mannella Group srl was founded by the enterprising woodsman Vincenzo Mannella as one of the first, if not the first, forestry industries in the Serre Calabresi area. The company specialized in forest processing, focusing on timber cutting and production for carpentry and woodworking, as well as natural charcoal production. Initially supported by his son Giuseppe, and later with the company’s handover in the late 1960s, it expanded nationwide, becoming a key commercial partner for leading Italian wood processing companies. Today, the Mannella brothers continue the family business, recognized for their professional experience and high-quality wood products. The company primarily processes chestnut wood into logs for beams, planks for furniture, and poles for fences, vineyards, and natural engineering. The entire supply chain is personally managed by the owners, who collaborate with local workers and partner companies to ensure the best product. Forest selection is conducted carefully, respecting the woodland heritage and environment, with planning by qualified personnel and cutting permits from authorities.
