Russian Ilim Pulp Enterprise Boosted Commercial Production 5,3%

Nov 26, 2003. /Lesprom Network/. Russian Ilim Pulp Enterprise increased commercial production 5,3% to 2375,16 thousand tons within 10 months in 2003 compared with the prior period in 2002. Pulp and paper production increased 4,0% to 1907,72 thousand tons. Ilim Pulp-owned enterprises produced 1138,08 thousand tons of commercial pulp (+4,5%), 523,47 thousand tons of commercial cardboard (+4,1%), 191,93 thousand tons of commercial paper (+2,6% compared with the prior period in 2002). Pulp production went up 4,8% to 1883,25 thousand tons. Industrial rates growth was registered in the timber-processing sector. Saw-timber production increased 19,9%. Timber-processing production (veneer, saw-timber and hardboard) increased 10,7 to 467,43 thousand tons within 10 months in 2003 compared with the prior period in 2002.
