Eufores Sociedad Anonima is a forestry-industrial company dedicated to the production of eucalyptus pulp. The company operates sustainably and is committed to the care of natural resources, people and local communities. The company established an Academy at Montes del Plata to help staff develop their potential and focuses on employee experience with tailored training programs for each profile. The company exhibits fossil titanosaur eggs aged 80 million years, found on a Montes del Plata property and studied by the Faculty of Sciences, in the new Biopark space. In July the company held three sessions on animal health and tick control in Young, La Paloma and Batlle y Ordóñez with more than 180 participants. The Biopark, located on the banks of the Uruguay River in the Río Negro department, comprises a fauna breeding station, an interpretation trail for native flora and a historic zone of cultural importance. "Alianzas" is the company's productive-integration program: sharing land use with other productive activities and integrating with the surroundings is part of its approach and a way to use resources more efficiently. Today more than 80,000 hectares of Montes del Plata plantations are located on properties of associated producers, who obtain shade and shelter for their livestock and a secure additional income, diversifying risks.
