Vietnam is increasingly recognised as one of the leading countries in the woodworking industry. As of May 2021, the country has overtaken China to become the world’s largest furniture exporter to the United States (US), recording US$7.4 billion worth of exports. The phenomenal growth of the industry has led Vietnam to become a serious contender against China as a manufacturing powerhouse.With a stable political environment, robust partnership with the EU, and a flourishing economy in spite of the pandemic, Vietnam has also become an attractive country for Chinese woodworking factories to relocate and establish their operations.

At the heart of this booming industry is Binh Duong. The province leads the nation in terms of wood and woodworking export value, reaching $5.6 billion in 2020 and accounting for 47.3% of the total value. The plentiful labour force, dynamic team of businessmen, and connections to key timber areas in the southeast and central highlands of Vietnam make Binh Duong a favourable business and investment environment — not to mention the prime location to hold BIFA Wood Vietnam exhibitions.

BIFA Wood Vietnam 2022 is jointly organised by two of the most influential brands in South East Asia’s timber and woodworking sector: Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA) and Panels & Furniture Group of wood magazines.
