Altri's 3Q revenues decreased by 18% to Euro 149.5 million

Altri's total revenues in the 3Q 2016 amounted to Euro 149.5 million, a decrease of 18% on the figures recorded in the same quarter of 2015 and an increase of about 5% over the 2Q 2016, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

In the nine months’ period ended September 2016, the total revenues of Altri amounted to approximately Euro 453 million, a decrease of 8.3%. EBITDA reached about Euro 129 million (-21.2%) and the profit for the period was approximately Euro 57 million (-32.7%).

3Q 2016 EBITDA reached Euro 40.2 million, a decrease of about 36% over the EBITDA recorded in the same period of 2015 and an increase of 10.8% over the EBITDA recorded in the 2Q 2016.

3Q consolidated net profit reached Euro 16.8 million.

During the period under analysis, the Group produced 268,500 tons of pulp (+14% compared to the 2Q 2016, period when the annual stoppages for maintenance of Celbi, Celtejo and Caima mills occurred), of which of 26,900 tons were dissolving pulp (similar to the previous quarter). In terms of sales, in the 3Q 2016 it were sold 258,500 tons of pulp (+7% over the second quarter of 2016), of which 28,000 tons of dissolving pulp (+10% compared to the previous quarter). When compared with the same period of 2015, there was a decrease in total pulp production of 2%, while the sales decreased about 4%. This is mainly due to the ongoing investment project in the Celtejo mill.

Altri is a reference in European eucalyptus pulp producers. In addition to pulp production, the Company is also present in the renewable power production business from forest base sources, namely industrial cogeneration through black liquor and biomass.
