Holzindustrie Schweighofer expands blockboard production in Comanesti, Romania. The new
blockboard production is nearly ready – it will be the biggest blockboard
factory on one location in the world. The production will finally be 135,000 cubic
metres per year. Approximately Euro 25 million were invested, as the company
said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
This expansion and the most modern level of technology ensure high
precision and efficiency of production and by that Holzindustrie Schweighofer
BACO is very well-prepared to compete with companies in Asia and to meet the
customers needs best.
In Comanesti we further process 120,000 cubic metres timber into high
quality panels for the furniture industry. By that we are one of the largest
contributors to the creation of value within the industry in Romania.
Almost 200 new jobs have been created at Holzindustrie Schweighofer BACO
in Comanesti since 2010 (meanwhile they are about 750). The new big pressing
line will create additionally 50 working places.
