Hamburger Rieger GmbH, part of the Austrian Prinzhorn Group, has applied for a new permission to set up a second paper machine at its Spremberg location in Germany. The already granted permission runs out in January 2017, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The newly designed paper machine will have state-of-the-art technology, a width of 7,90m and an annual production capacity of 493,000 tons containerboard. The Euro 370 million investment will create 200 new jobs.
Hamburger Rieger GmbH, with its three German paper mills in Spremberg, Gelsenkirchen and Trostberg is part of the Hamburger Containerboard Division with a total of 7 paper mills and 1.9 million tons of produced containerboard per year.
