Sequana 1Q sales up 0.7% to Euro 770 million

May 02, 2016. /Lesprom Network/. Sequana's 1Q 2016 sales came in at Euro 770 million, up 0.7% at constant exchange rates (and down 1.4% at actual exchange rates) on 1Q 2015 presented on a pro forma basis, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

EBITDA jumped 32% on 1Q 2015 pro forma to Euro 26 million. Sequana benefited from the positive impacts of lower fixed costs resulting from the closure of Arjowiggins mills and the ongoing positive effect of the streamlining of Antalis' supply chain as well as from lower prices for raw materials and energy. Divested businesses accounted for Euro 13 million of 1Q 2015 EBITDA.

Recurring operating income was Euro 15 million, compared to Euro 6 million and Euro 19 million, respectively, in 1Q 2015 on a pro forma and reported basis.

Net loss attributable to owners came out at Euro 7 million for the period and included non-recurring items totalling Euro 9 million, compared with a net loss of Euro 1 million in Q1 2015.
