Slovenia: The value of purchased roundwood decreased by 9% in November

Slovenia's roundwood purchased from private owners in November 2017 was worth Euro 5.2 million, which is 13% more than in the previous month, mainly due to the higher quantity of purchased wood, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by about 8%, of pulpwood by more than 34% and of wood fuel by about 56%. The value of purchased other industrial roundwood was slightly lower than in the previous month (by about 1%).

The value of roundwood purchased from private owners in November 2017 was more than 9% lower than in November 2016, mainly due to the lower quantity of purchased wood.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 13%, while the values of purchased other categories of roundwood were higher than a year ago: of pulpwood by almost 6%, of wood fuel by about 12% and of other industrial roundwood by almost 18%.
