U.S. containerboard production in October 2016 was 1.3% higher compared to October 2015. The month-over-month average daily production compared to September 2016 was 2.1% lower, as the American Forest & Paper Association reported.
The containerboard operating rate for October decreased to 95.5%, while the year-to-date operating rate of 95% was 0.9% lower compared to year-to-date 2015.
