In February, U.S. wood pellets exports have surged 85.0% YoY to 476.3 thousand tonnes, and value has grown by 50.3%, according to the USDA. The exports prices have declined 18.8% to $133 a tonne.
The exports to United Kingdom, the main consumer of wood pellets from U.S., increased by 94.9% to 339.7 thousand tonnes with average price of $126 a tonne. The exports to Denmark have grown by 68.4% to 92.9 thousand tonnes and those to France totalled 30.8 thousand tonnes.
