Cobleskill Value-Added currently employs 65 people, with an intention to grow the workforce in the coming years. Irving Forest Products will also be investigating opportunities to maximize mill capacity and eventually expand.

The woodyard project, which is anticipated to reach completion in 2025, will employ an additional 150 skilled workers from 26 local contractor companies.
The project marks a step towards an eco-friendlier lumber drying process and will allow the mill to substantially reduce its carbon footprint.
