Changes of responsibilities in Metso Ventures’ management

Oct 06, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. As a part of Metso Ventures’ dismantling, Kimmo Kiviniemi, president of Metso Panelboard, will transfer to assist Vesa Kainu in the process. Pentti Välimäki, currently vice president and general manager of Metso Panelboard’s Particleboard and OSB division, has been appointed acting president of Metso Panelboard. The appointments have become effective as of October 5. Both Kiviniemi and Välimäki report to Vesa Kainu. Metso is a global engineering and technology corporation with 2005 net sales of approximately Euro 4.2 billion. Its 22 000 employees in more than 50 countries serve customers in the pulp and paper industry, rock and minerals processing, the energy industry and selected other industries.
