“As an example, our delivery will be more flexible. Depending on our customers’ requirements, we will now be able to assemble the furniture either in our factory or directly on site,” says Per Gunnarsson, CEO Direktlaminat AB.
Direktlaminat only needed one quick introduction to Välinge's furniture technology to realize the potential.
“We never really hesitated because the benefits were obvious. Quicker assembly, stronger construction, cleaner designs and the possibility to assemble and dismantle furniture over and over again,” says Per Gunnarsson.
Hans Brännström, Director Furniture Technology at Välinge Innovation, echoed the words by Per Gunnarsson by describing the license agreement as a very smooth process.
“The time from our first meeting to reaching an agreement was very short. We are very happy with the commitment shown by Direktlaminat and the fact that they will soon be supplying furniture with our technology to their customers”.
Direktlaminat has provided components and interior designs based on laminate and MFC (melamine faced chipboard). The company’s offering includes panels, surface materials and edge-banding solutions as well as production of furniture and furniture components.
