PMT Italia to upgrade Hamburger Rieger PM2 in Trostberg, Germany
May 05, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. PMT Italia have received an order from the Rieger Paper Mill of the Hamburger Group for the upgrade of its PM2 in Trostberg, Germany. PM2 produces white top test liner, company said in a statement received by Lesprom Network.
The scope of the rebuild, planned for October 2010, is to renew the entire Size Press of the 3 m wide PM2 and to rebuild part of its pre-dryer section into single tier.
The project is meant to improve the paper quality by means of a more efficient and precise starch application and to reach a higher runnability at the maximum operating speed of 1100 m/min.
PMT successfully rebuilt the press section of the same PM2 with shoe press and transfer belt in 2002 and will now have one more chance to put in place its advanced sizing technology as well as state of the art web stabilising equipment in the dryer section of this top quality packaging machine.
