Perm pulp and paper mill to increase production 2.5 times and to enter Top 5 corrugated packaging companies

Sep 30, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. Uralbumaga enterprise working on the base of Perm pulp and paper mill implemented a project of corrugated packaging capacity construction. The project cost around 2 billion roubles ($67 million), as Perm region administration informed Lesprom Network. The enterprise production capacity boosted from 115 million square meters up to 300 million square meters annually. In January-August 2009, Uralbumaga produced over 100 million square meter of corrugated products, which is as much as in the whole 2008. Five Martin processing lines and one Fosber machine are installed at the mill. 300 jobs were created due to the project. Uralbumaga’s project was included in the top priority investment projects list and thus will obtain wood resources without auctions. One of the new mill’s advantages is a world-class production logistics, as regional administration said in the report. Time of passing of orders from receiving of application to shipping will be accelerated twofold. Uralbumaga’s consumers include food industry companies of Perm region and most of other Russian regions.
