The resources from the contracted loan will be used to support the excellent acceptance and fast-growing that Tecnotabla has had in the market. Tecnotabla is Proteak's wood panel business unit.
Banco Multiva's Managing Director, Carlos Soto Manzo, has stated that "the loan is a statement of support to the agricultural and forestry industry, especially to Proteak, that has proven to be a leader in forest technology, sustainable forest management and social inclusion through the development of synergies with small producers in the region. Moreover, Proteak has shown that the forestry activity in Mexico is profitable and a future-oriented business."
Proteak is the largest forest-industrial company in Mexico and Central America. With 18,500 hectares of plantations in Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia, it exports its products to more than 15 destinations in America, Europe and Asia.
