Rorvik Timber sells two sawmills to ATA Timber in Sweden

Swedish sawmiller ATA Timber is to acquire two sawmills from Rorvik Timber. The transfer of the sawmills in Rorvik and Sandsjöfors will be completed in September and December respectively, TTJ reports.

The sawmill in Rorvik will resume normal production, while the small log sawmill in Sandsjöfors will be dismantled and replaced by a new modern saw line. The start of production of this line is planned for spring / summer 2017.

Rorvik Timber said it would continue to push for further structural changes in the sawmill industry in southern Sweden to create long-term profitability.

Rorvik continues to own sawmills in Myresjöfönster (finger-jointed timber), Linghem and Boxholm with a capacity for normal production of 450,000 cubic metres of sawn goods.
