Russian Titan timber enterprises reported timber production up 11.9% within 8 months in 2004

Russian Titan group of companies (Arkhangelsk region) reported timber production up 11.9% to 1.011 million cub m within 8 months in 2004 compared with the prior period in 2003, Titan spokesperson told Lesprom.ru. Timber production increased 0.7% to 113.5 thousand cub m in August 2004. Timber production with the usage of imported equipment increased 81.2% to 483.5 thousand cub m within 8 months in 2004 compared with the prior period in 2003. In August the similar index increased 97% to 64.3 thousand cub m. The amount of timber production using new technologies was 48%.
