Jörgen Lindquist has now been appointed President of Södra Wood, following his position as Interim President of the business area since 14 March. He is now stepping down from his role as CFO with responsibility for IT, but retaining his responsibility for Purchasing.

Södra appoints Jörgen Lindquist as President of the Södra Wood business area

May 16, 2016. /Lesprom Network/.  Jörgen Lindquist has now been appointed President of Södra Wood, following his position as Interim President of the business area since 14 March, the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

"Jörgen Lindquist has an extensive background with international experience, and will be an asset in our continued efforts to improve the long-term profitability of Södra Wood," says Lars Idermark, President and CEO.

Jörgen Lindquist joined Södra in autumn 2015 as CFO with responsibility for IT and Purchasing. He is now stepping down from his role as CFO with responsibility for IT, but retaining his responsibility for Purchasing.

Peter Karlsson, Corporate Controller in the Treasury Unit, has been appointed Interim CFO with responsibility for IT to replace Jörgen Lindquist. The process to recruit a new CFO has commenced.

"I have full respect for the mission of turning a negative result into long-term, sustained profitability. At the same time, I see many opportunities and a very exciting journey ahead," says Jörgen Lindquist.

Prior to joining Södra, he was employed at IKEA where he has spent the past five years as CFO and Interim President of the Group's industrial division, Swedspan International. Before that, Jörgen was responsible for IKEA's establishment of a new furniture industry in the US. He has also served as CFO and Vice President of the Axis Group and held various senior financial positions in the chemical and packaging industries.
