“During this last quarter, we progressed significantly in the execution of our Strategic Plan. We have completed the sale of Betanzos, our hardboard business in Spain, and prepared the ground for the completion of the sale of Darbo (subsidiary that ownsthe Linxe plant, in France), that led to the transaction being concluded at the beginning of July. With these two transactions, we have now completed the planned restructuring of our industrial footprint. The group’s energy and resources will now be channelled towards continuous improvement initiatives, to support a more market and customer centric strategy aimed, ultimately, at improving our company’s profitability,” said Rui Correia, CEO of Sonae Indústria.
