The Board of Directors of Vaahto Group Plc Oyj has appointed Vesa Alatalo as the new CEO of the Company. Alatalo commences his duties as the CEO on January 16, 2014.

Vaahto Group appointed Vesa Alatalo as CEO

Jan 16, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. The Board of Directors of Vaahto Group Plc Oyj has appointed Vesa Alatalo as the new CEO of the Company. Alatalo commences his duties as the CEO on January 16, 2014, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Vesa Alatalo transfers to Vaahto Group from the position of Head of Waste to Energy business segment at Konecranes Finland Oy. Prior to the position of Head of Waste to Energy, Alatalo’s positions at Konecranes have included Head of Workstation Lifting Systems, product director for Light Lifting products, and managing director of Konecranes Lifting Systems GmbH, Austria (2012–2013). Alatalo transferred to Konecranes Finland Oy from the position of Country Manager for Finland of the Industrial Sales Division at Osakeyhtiö SKF Aktiebolag. Before transferring to Osakeyhtiö SKF Aktiebolag, Alatalo has held the position of product line manager at Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy and various management positions at Orbis Oy, including the position of managing director of Orbis Solutions (Hong Kong) Ltd., China (2001–2003) and member of board of directors of the same (2001–2006).

Vesa Alatalo does not hold shares in Vaahto Group Plc Oyj either personally or through controlled entities.

Vesa Alatalo is the brother of Sami Alatalo, who is a member of the Board of Directors of Vaahto Group Plc Oyj. As a member of the Board of Directors, Sami Alatalo has not taken and will not take part in the decisions concerning the position or the remuneration of the new CEO.

Ari Viinikkala, the previous CEO of Vaahto Group Plc Oyj, held the position until January 15, 2014.
