Mar 26, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. Growth in demand for band saws encouraged the European plant of the company located in Poland to invest into broadening product portfolio and expanding and modernizing production, as the company’s press service informed Lesprom Network. In 2007, Wood-Mizer built a new unit with an area of 2400 sq m and installed there five lines producing ready band saws in addition to nine existing ones. Recently Wood-Mizer started production of saws with the width of 35 mm, 45 mm and 50 mm. Therefore, the product portfolio now includes five width versions, including old 32 mm and 38 mm ones. Wood-Mizer also developed a new 4/32 saw profile to treat super-hard, frozen and dry timber and improved the sharpening zone of a semi-automatic BMP-PLCBN tool grinder.
