Fagus Slovenica, formerly Snežnik, is a Slovenian wood processing company based in Kočevska Reka, in the heavily forested Kočevje region. It is wholly owned by Slovenski državni gozdovi (SiDG), the manager of all state-owned forests in Slovenia. The sawmill processes about 50,000 m³ of conifer logs per year, producing sawn timber in structural, construction and packaging grades from spruce (Picea abies) and fir (Abies alba), along with pallets and semi-finished products for further industrial processing. Since April 2024 the company also buys roundwood of all types from private forest owners across Slovenia. Forests supplying the mill are certified to FSC and PEFC standards.
