Örebro Kartongbruk to close its mill in Sweden, cut 80 jobs‎

Mar 29, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. Gypsum board liner producer Örebro Kartongbruk will be shut down permanently. Close to 80 persons will lose their jobs, as Nordic Paper Journal reported.

The small mill in Örebro in central Sweden has had a weak profitability during recent years, and the owner, French company, has taken several measures, including investments in increased production efficiency, to get the mill on the right track.

The mill has between 75 and 80 employees and produces 50,000 tons per year of gypsum board liner for the building and construction industry.
