Aug 19, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Amcor Tobacco Packaging plans to close its operation in Neumunster, Germany. Amcor expects the closure process to take place over the course of four months with final closure anticipated on or before December 31, 2014, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Production will be transferred to other Amcor Tobacco Packaging sites across Western Europe. As operations are scaled down, the first priority is, as always, the safety of those on site.

Amcor plans to build a new tobacco packaging plant in Indonesia. The production facility is expected to be fully operational in East Java by late 2015.
