Amzak acquired KPAQ, a virgin containerboard and kraft paper mill located in St. Francisville, Louisiana in 2010 out of bankruptcy proceedings.
Michael Kazma, President of Amzak, commented on the investment saying: "We are very proud to have been able to rescue the St. Francisville mill from a difficult situation and, with the help of our skilled and dedicated employees, position it to now become an important part of a first-class packaging organization."
Amzak Capital Management is a private investment firm owned by the Kazma family.
