BRUKS Rockwood to install wood pellet ship loader for Enviva Biomass in Wilmington, North Carolina

Aug 28, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. BRUKS Rockwood is designing a Traveling, Luffing and Shuttling Ship Loader for Enviva Biomass at the Port of Wilmington in North Carolina. The ship loader will load wood pellets produced at Enviva’s Sampson plant, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The project scope for BRUKS Rockwood consists of the design and supply of the complete ship loader. Full scale operations of the system are expected in February 2016, when Enviva completes construction of the marine terminal.

Capable of loading vessels up to Panamax size at a load rate of 1500 MTPH, the ship loader will have the ability to travel up and down the dock under its own power. In addition, this machine will have the ability to decouple from the dock conveyor and move to a remote “parked” position, allowing other port equipment to utilize the same dock space.
