The president of the Association of wood manufacturers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Suad Eco, announced that it is inevitably needed to insist on mechanisms and measures by which the competent institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina will additionally stimulate the development of wood industry, an extremely prospective branch of industry.

He emphasized that it is about the industrial branch that achieved a total export worth more than BAM 1 billion ($552 million) in last year, or the share in total Bosnia and Herzegovina export amounted to 11.3%, and increase of 10% compared to 2013, regardless of difficulties that Bosnia and Herzegovina and countries in region are facing in the field of economy.

When it comes to the theme of the seminar oriented to the increase of competitiveness of wood industry and placement of products to foreign markets, Eco considers that Bosnia Herzegovina products with their quality and assortment guarantee good reception at the markets throughout the world.

Eco states that it is important for Bosnia Herzegovina produces to face the quality of their products, innovations and design, expressing his confidence that problems with basic raw materials supply, due to unresolved relationship between forestry and producers of final products, will be solved.
