Dr. Grossmann has worked as a Senior Project Manager for the German national group of the European Forest-based Sector Technology Platform (FTP) of Germany and as Assistant to the Directorate of the Forest Research Institute of Baden-Württemberg since 2009. She has also worked as Assistant Professor and lecturer at the Institute for Forest and Environmental Policy at the University of Freiburg. Dr. Grossmann has long experience in coordinating national and international networks and projects with a strong focus on fostering inter- and intra-disciplinary research and research policies in forestry and adjoining fields at the German and European levels.
EFICENT coordinates European science-based policy studies and facilitates science-policy-practice networking activities which are of special relevance in Central Europe on focus areas such as the integration of nature protection into multifunctional forest management, forest biodiversity and trade-offs with other forest uses, and managing forest disturbances.
