Conner Industries invests in a new CNC router

Conner Industries, Inc. continues to focus their attention on new equipment investments for their ten manufacturing plants with the addition of a new CNC router. The computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine put into operation at the Haslet, Texas plant.

“As Conner continues to invest in new machinery and technologies for the plants, this new CNC router will be a welcome addition. We expect to keep it very busy,” says David Dixon, CEO of Conner Industries, Inc. “This precision piece of equipment represents another move forward in Conner’s industrial wood and custom packaging capabilities.”

CNC routers offer an automated cutting solution that improves safety, enhances quality and increases productivity, and Conner expects this purchase to help them remain competitive in the custom crate and pallet marketplace. Not only will computer automation allow for the completion of many smaller tasks, but workers at the Texas plant will be better utilized doing other things.
In addition, the new precision router, driven by CAD software, represents a huge improvement over manual cutting, and creates much less waste than traditional cutting methods.

Conner Industries is a leading provider of industrial wood and packaging solutions.
