Davy has successfully placed 17,500,000 existing ordinary shares in Smurfit Kappa Group plc

Smurfit Kappa Group plc (“SKG” or the “Group”) has been informed that Davy has successfully placed 17,500,000 existing ordinary shares (“Shares”) in SKG on behalf of funds associated with Madison Dearborn Partners (“MDP”), by way of an accelerated bookbuild (the “Placing”). The Shares were placed with institutional investors at a price of € 8 per share, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. Following the Placing, MDP continues to own in aggregate 17,589,259 shares in SKG, representing 7.8% of the issued share capital of SKG. SKG’s free float increased to approximately 83.% from 75.1.%.
