During 9 months of 2008 Koryazhma affiliate of Ilim Group increased production output by 6.6%

During 9 months of 2008, enterprises of Ilim West business unit (Koryazhma affiliate) produced 753,200 tons of pulp & paper production, which is 6.6% higher than last year, Ilim Group reported. This includes: 274,300 tons of market pulp (3.3% higher than in the similar period of 2007), 287,400 tons of container board(+18%), 191,600 tons of paper (-2.9%), 90,600 tons of bag paper, 79,300 tons of offset paper, 21,800 tons of wallpaper. Pulp cooking volume lifted by 6.3% to 824,300 tons, compared to the similar period of 2007. Raw timber deliveries to Koryazhma affiliate amounted to 3.869 million cubic meters, which is 11.1% higher than last year. Actual volume of processed timber lifted by 6.8% and amounted to 3.340 million cubic meters (in chip). Ilim Group OJSC was registered in Sankt-Peterburg on September 27, 2006. Kotlas Pulp & Paper Plant OJSC, Pulp & Cardboard Plant OJSC, Bratskkompleksholding OJSC, and PO Ust-Ilimskiy Timber Processing Company OJSC joined the Group in 2007 by transferring to common share standard. On July 2, Ilim Group OJSC became a joint company. Ilim West business unit comprises assets of Ilim Group located in the North-Western Russia: Koryazhma affiliate (Arkhangelsk region), timber-supplying enterprises and regional services. Ilim East business unit includes assets of the Group located in Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk regions: Bratsk and Ust-Ilimsk affiliates, timber-supplying enterprises and regional services.
