Shandong Huatai Paper is a subsidiary of its mother company, the Huatai Group: more than 15,000 employees work in the core businesses paper making and chemicals as well as the business areas thermal power, forestry, logistics, trade service and real estate. It is the largest newsprint manufacturer worldwide.
The scope of delivery will include a state-of-the-art coating colour preparation with GAW Conti-Mixer, the preparation for surface starch as well as working stations for the rebuild of the paper machine PM10. This will be the 4th GAW continuous mixer for the Chinese market.
The previously delivered GAW Conti-Mixers are running perfectly to produce the coating grades targeted by the customers in North and South China. The PM10 at Shandong Huatai Paper used to produce newsprint and is going to produce offset printing paper and LWC after the modification. It has a width of 6,4 meters and a speed of 1,500 m/min. The delivery of the GAW equipment is scheduled for summer 2015; the start up will take place end of the year.
